Babbel, a language learning app headquartered in Berlin, faced the challenge of launching in the U.S. and differentiating itself within a crowded market filled with industry-leading brands. We increased brand awareness and media coverage through competitor research, aggressive media outreach, and tailored strategic messaging. We highlighted the importance and benefits of lifelong education and positioned Babbel as supplement to classroom learning. We also offered Babbel executives as language experts, drafting and placing bylined articles, and securing interviews with influential outlets.
We generated a total of 111 media placements garnering 776 million unique monthly visitors in top tier national outlets, including Parenting, The Today Show, Self, Woman’s World and USA Today.
