Todd Hansen has served as an advisor to companies large and small during 25+ year career as a communications agency professional.  He has extensive experience in enhancing and protecting reputations and building brands. He has developed and led projects in media relations, marketing communications, employee engagement, social media, executive positioning and community relations. During his career, Todd has provided counsel to companies including Hanesbrands, Tyson, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, AT&T, Charter Communications and Deere & Company, as well as many entrepreneurial endeavors.

Todd is a seasoned crisis communications counselor who has helped companies including United Airlines, Bridgestone/Firestone and Sara Lee respond to significant, high-profile events as product recalls, regulatory investigations and facility disasters. Todd often works on location during a crisis, providing communications perspective to the overall strategic planning and serving as a company spokesperson to media, customers and other external audiences. He has also led numerous issues management programs to address issues related to environmental, litigation or community concerns.

He has extensive experience in working with companies that sell products through franchisee or distributor networks. His approach involves creating a dialogue that enables shared understanding and a coordinated approach to the marketplace.

Previously, Todd was senior vice president, corporate practice group director in the Chicago office of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and senior vice president at FleishmanHillard/Chicago. He also is treasurer on the board of directors for the PR Council and served on the board of directors for the Publicity Club of Chicago. Todd is a Denver, Colo. native and a graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, Wis. where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English composition with a journalism minor and more recently served as president of the alumni association. As part of his degree he studied political science and mass communications at the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
