Resources Solutions Group wanted to increase consumer participation in the Chicagoland Natural Gas Savings Program, a rebate program available to Chicago consumers. We knew that a fun and creative campaign could show consumers how easy it is to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of their homes, while generating wide-spread media coverage.
We developed the Two-Minute Warming campaign to communicate a simple three-step call-to-action: check your equipment, visit Chicagolandrebates.com and submit your rebate. We partnered with former Chicago Bear and Hall-of-Famer Richard Dent as spokesperson and took him on a day-long media tour to Chicago's top outlets.
We garnered 50 million impressions with coverage from the associated Press, Chicago Tribute, Chicago Sun-Times, Crain's Chicago Business, NBC5, FOX 32, ABC7, WGN-TV, 101.9 FM The Mix, ESPN Radio and the Score670. The program website saw a traffic increase of 62% and the program met it's participation goals.
