Emma LaPalermo is an enthusiastic communications team leader who has fostered strong connections with clients and teammates since day one in her PR career. Her specialties include managing multiple accounts of all sizes with teams that love working together, developing and executing buzz-worthy media relations programs, spearheading integrated press campaigns and facilitating new business endeavors. Emma has supported strategies for classic Chicago brands including Home Run Inn Pizza and Navy Pier, entertainment organizations such as Horseshoe Hammond Casino and Broadway In Chicago, and a number of nationally recognized brands including McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme, Fogo de Chão, Recovery Centers of America and The National Honey Board.

After discovering a knack for media relations and the thrill of securing coverage, Emma developed her skillset as a media relations specialist with a drive for navigating this ever-changing media landscape along with her clients. She has deep experience in media relations-led PR programs, securing broadcast, local, national and trade media coverage for clients spanning consumer, CPG, entertainment, foodservice, manufacturing and non-profit industries. Additionally, Emma is seasoned in planning and executing grand openings for restaurants, media dinners for influencers and celebrities, groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings for small businesses and franchise groups, and red-carpet galas and fundraisers for non-profits.

Prior to OHC, Emma worked at Porter Novelli and Margie Korshak, Inc., the oldest boutique PR agency in Chicago. She is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and lifelong Chicagoland resident, currently serving as the PR & Marketing Advisor for Loyola University Chicago’s Alpha Chi Omega Iota Rho chapter.
